Had the opportunity to see an old freind from long ago at the Mai Kai in Fort Lauderdale. For those of you who don’t know, the Mai Kai is the greatest Tiki Bar outside of the Pacific Ocean.
I of course had their version of the Mai Tai, with fresh mint leaves and a flower garnish. My friend Brian had something made with four shots of rum, and came in a barrel.
The Mai Kai is a great old fashioned Tiki Bar/Restaurant with live island entertainment, an incredible drink menu, and food that is out of this world. No trip to south Florida is complete without a night at the Mai Kai. Just expect to spend a LOT of money there. Although the decor is vintage, the prices are not.
