Thanks to the popularity of Pin-up calendars during the 30s through the 50s, today we’ve got a pretty decent number of holiday-inspired pin-up photos and illustrations from mid-century golden era.
Thanksgiving is no exception. From muskets and turkeys to less-currently-politically-correct Native American themes, a quick search on the web will yield lots of photos for us to give thanks for.
While families were enjoying their turkey dinner for one day, thousands of auto mechanics, shop workers, line cooks and anyone else who had a place to hang a calendar where the general public couldn’t see (or they didn’t care if they could) got to enjoy a beautiful pin-up all month long.
Here are just a few of the glorious, sometimes odd, sometimes insensitive by today’s standards but cool at the time Thanksgiving Pin-ups.
